Winning Teamwork under the flag of Peter Gast Shipping



The Farr280 is a real downwind rocket. In combination with excellent teamwork and highly motivated guests of Peter Gast Shipping, one Crewmember and Skipper the "4sale" managed to finish just behind two Volvo 60 Yachts, with a gab of 30 Minutes in front of the second yacht of her group after two hours sailing time.

The Farr280 "4sail" was chartered by Peter Gast Shipping and joined the "Peter Gast Schiffahrtsregatta" second time. This race is the biggest privat organiszed sailing race event of the world. More than 130 yachts are racing together, more than 1000 Guests are joining the great event on the small isand Aerø at the evening.
The Farr280 was the smalles yacht in the race, but with enormous speed potenzial. The crew was good prepared: The day before the 3 guest and two crew members met for training, and during the way out and waiting for wind they used all possibiities to improve thier crewwork. Due to this the start was great, and during the buoy manoevers they catched the inner position and managed to overtake 10-15 yachts at each mark rounding.

      INFINITI 56



      The Infiniti 56C from Farr Yacht Design is the first Dynamic Stability Systems-powered performance blue-water cruiser in this market sector. Whilst DSS has been used extensively in the racing yacht market and is now being used in the superyacht world, this is the yacht that genuinely changes the way we cruise.

      The Infiniti 56 will set a new paradigm for performance in this size range with the potential to sail at higher speeds and lower heel angles than any other yacht of this genre on the market today, whilst featuring improved sea-keeping thanks to reduced pitching. Simply put: shorter passage times; increased cruising range; reduced heeling; less pitching and more enjoyment for the whole family. In real terms this means passage making at speeds in the mid-teens with similar wind speeds.

        The new J-Class.



        We have done a lot of improvements: Mast back. Main hatch relocated and new, round cockpit design. More buoyancy in the stern section. Weight backwards. New teak deck design.
        Result: Better sailing abilities in waves. The longer foredeck looks more elegant.
        4 boats are in production, 3 sold.

          Mascalzone Latino Vincitore



          26 October 2016 - The Royal Malta Yacht Club announced that Vincenzo Onorato's Cookson 50 Mascalzone Latino is the overall winner of the 37th Rolex Middle Sea Race. Whilst a number of yachts are still racing, none of them have the possibility of beating Mascalzone Latino's corrected time. The Mascalzone Latino team will be awarded the Rolex Middle Sea Race Trophy and Rolex timepiece on Saturday 29 October at the prize giving ceremony to held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.
          This race crew was a mix of Italians and British sailors who have raced all over the world under the Mascalzone Latino banner and with great success. Last year they came agonizingly close to adding the Rolex Middle Sea Race to the honour role. In the absence of owner, Vincenzo Onorato, the boat was skippered this year by Matteo Savelli. The afterguard included Adrian Stead, Lorenzo Bressani and Branko Brcin. Ian Moore was the navigator. The sail trimmers were Leonardo Chiaruigi, Pierluigi De Felice, Stefano Ciampalini and Andrea Ballico. Daniele Fiaschi and Davide Scarpa shared the bowman duties.
          Matteo Savelli: “Twelve months ago we cherished the possibility of victory but it was not to be by a nine seconds gap. But our belief in success at this event was simply delayed until this year. And now, we can say we couldn’t expect more. Everything has worked properly and the job went off without a hitch. The crew commitment was remarkable; the only regret was the lack of Vincenzo Onorato onboard."
          The 2016 Rolex Middle Sea Race will be marked in the ever growing race legend as a tactically demanding one, with huge pressure on the tacticians and navigators to keep the yachts moving in the face of changing conditions. “It felt like unfinished business after coming so close to winning last year,” commented Ian Moore, continuing, “but past performance is no guarantee of future success! We knew if we wanted a chance to win this race that we would have to sail really well and get a little bit lucky with the weather. In the end, our luck held, and the guys sailed really well despite tough conditions.”
          Vincenzo Onorato of Mascalzone Latino: “I am really very happy for this victory. We have quite the same crew for many many years. We won together six Worlds titles, I can’t remember how many Europeans and many of the most important major regattas in the world. The Rolex Middle Sea Race is the pinnacle of offshore racing in the Med. We were looking to win for a long time and finally we have proudly succeeded”.

                The move is finished. 90% is ready for work again.



                After one mouth move with 12-18 hours work par day all parts are unpacked. Today we will box a lot of things which will become shipped on Monday. From Tuesday 19.7. to Friday, 22.7. the office will be closed.
                Now you can see the concept of the open office with the two big doors. Nice working in summer. But there´s still a lot to do: new floor cover, glass bulkhead to the printers area, refit of showroom and storefront. Top

                    Model yacht production in Germany is too expensive.



                    Bad and good news. After consulting a doctor and the government I have to drew the conclusion, that a production in Germany is too expensive. I have to raise a high credit, I don´t want to do this, I´m 50 years old now.

                    The good news: I´ve found a solution for the 3x1, we will offer new boats in September and we will still support the racing.
                    At the moment we have only the boats on stock and will produce no new ones. I don´t know, If we will offer a J-Class, C-Class, M155 or VOLVO OCEAN 65 in the future.

                    We will be able to individualize the boats in the future also:
                    - Sail production,
                    - digital printing,
                    - painting and
                    - repairs/service
                    will be located in the new Yacht Performance Center:
